RIPPLE Type and shapes create a fragmented, echoing effect that could be used as a background element or weave fragments with cards. In a way, this effect feels like a stack of cards being fanned out, which is something we can play with here.
BOOKSTORE CHIC A minimalist approach that offers some quirk and class. This offers a cleaner read for messaging and layout, but also distinguish its look from almost all drops done in the past. We could follow the lead of our examples above and stack names of artists or card themes together.
EXHIBIT POSTER This concept elevates our cards as curated high art ready to be publicly displayed. This is our way to announce this next Superdrop is akin to a carefully planned exhibition of exquisitely crafted work. Sophisticated yet compelling type and simple shapes lay out our messaging alongside our cards without it feeling jumbled. We’re also excited to find interesting framing devices and cropping shapes to contain our art, in the same way the examples above shows.

FRIENDSHIP GARDEN Inspired by the elements of nature and nurture from area like Everfree forest, this straightforward theme frames our cards in natural, familiar backgrounds.
CARTOON CREEPS Inspired by the visual language of comic books, this theme frames our cards against woozy textures and neon-dunked prints that take the drop into surreal nightmare territory.
TIME LORD The Dr’s cosmos-sprawling adventures inspire this celestial take on travelling through time. Galactic in scale, our cards float among interstellar portals and nebulous masses, all with an unsettling sense of the awe-inspiring power of space.
THE STORYBOOK This look springs from the pages of classic adventure books. Inspired by the Grandfather reading to his grandchild throughout the film, both adventure and storied fantasy find a home in this textured, literary approach. Rich illustrated paper and painted leather binds with other book textures to frame our cards as distinct chapters in the story. Using quotes from the film also fits like a black glove to this textual idea.
